Employees’ creativity is a key factor to the sustainable development of moderncorporate, how to stimulate employees’ creativity is becoming more and moreimportant.Since Bass systematically put forward the concept of TransformationalLeadership in1985, it’s becoming a hot topic in theoretical area.The mechanisms oftransformational leadership and Employees’ creativity is a hot topic in theorists andpractitioners, but there is rare empirical study on the mechanism.The paper studies the mechanisms of transformational leadership in thebackground of Chinese culture and employee creativity, and explores the role oforganizational innovation climate and employee creative self-efficacy in thismechanisms, which opened the “black box” of the mechanisms of transformationalleadership in some way. We comprehensively analysis the impact of theorganizational factors and individual factors on employee creativity, which isextremely rare in the present study, and the study of employee creative self-efficacy isone of the few. We mainly used the questionnaire survey through the investigation andanalysis of380employee, using exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factoranalysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis and other statistical methods, weverified the theoretical model and the research hypothesis. The main conclusionsobtained are as follows:There was significant difference of employee creativity in gender, age, workexperience, job level and company size. But there is no significant difference ofemployee creativity in education, type of work and type of company.Transformational leadership has a positive impact on employee creativity.Transformational leadership has a positive impact on organizational innovationclimate.Organizational innovation climate has a positive impact on employee creativity.Organizational innovation climate plays a complete mediation role in themechanisms of transformational leadership and employee creativity.Employee creative self-efficacy plays a moderator role in the mechanisms oforganizational innovation climate and employee creativity.The realationship is weakerwhen employee creative self-efficacy is higher rather than low.This study has some significance in theoretical and practical.In theoretical the moderating effects of Employee creative self-efficacy will broaden the thinking of thesubsequent researchers.In practical, we put forward some practical suggestions tomanagers.In a word, they should use the advantages of transformational leadership,create a good Organizational innovation atmosphere, and take care of developing theemployee creative self-efficacy, and thus will enhance employee creativity.
