| The equipment manufacturing industry is one of the most important industry ofthe transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry in China. Theimplementation of Lean Production is an effective way to improve corecompetitiveness of the equipment manufacturing industry, and information system isan effective accessorial tool for management improvement. IT-enabled LeanProduction is an effective and efficient way to improve the management ofequipment manufacturers in China, and it can avoid duplication of investment.Firstly, this thesis discusses the theory, methods and tools of Lean Productionand Informatization, and analyzes the necessity and feasibility for implementingIT-enabled Lean Production. On the basis of this, the implementation model ofIT-enabled Lean Production is proposed. The characteristics of the equipmentmanufacturing industry are analyzed: industry characteristics, supply chain, productand process design, R&D, production organization and information management.This thesis presents the implementation characteristics of IT-enabled Lean Productionin equipment manufacturers: making the production stable as the first step, the R&Dsystem improvement as the focus, and the supply chain level ascension as a long-termtarget. The implementation of an equipment manufacturer is presented to verify thefeasibility and superiority of IT-enabled Lean Production.Aiming at the present situation and characteristic of equipment manufacturingindustry, a new improvement method is proposed path by stabilizing the leanproduction system, enhancing the R&D management and improving supply chain. Atthe same time, information system can stabilize and promote the effect of leanproduction. This thesis provides a new way of transformation and updating in theequipment manufacturing industry. |
