As an important component of human resource management system, Performancemanagement is the important incentive method of enterprise that affects the employee’senthusiasm and achieves strategic goals.Project management apartment, as the first-line unit appointed by constructionenterprise, is directly responsible for project organization, implementation andmanagement and affect the construction goal realization. Good performancemanagement can strengthen the management of projects, improve the identity of projectdepartment to the enterprise strategic goals and the operational management level,promote the realization of project objectives and staff’s training and employeecompetence. Furthermore it can help the manager recognize the shortcoming and planahead.At present, for the most project department of construction enterprise, performancemanagement is still in the traditional way. Performance evaluation goes formalistic,index of performance appraisal is not purposeful and not acting the role of managementand directing the stragetic goal. In this paper, as the practice of XY company, thebalanced scorecard and KPI method are used in developing project department, variousunit of department and employee’s monthly and annual appraisal index system based onthe servey of performance management of XY enterprise. Forthermore, this paper putsforward the practical performance management solution which is easy operating.This study mainly includes three parts: firstly, it is the summary and review ofresearch status at home and abroad on the basis of literature research; Secondly, on the basis of field investigation, the present situation, problems and improvementsuggestions about performance managemen of XY company projects department areanalyzed; Thirdly, new performance management program and the suggestion ofimplementation are proposed. the project on the basis of the former one of XY company.This study not only will provide practical schemes of performance management for XYcompany, and also provide the beneficial reference for other construction enterprisesand project departments.
