Research And Implementation Of Production Planning Solution Based On SAP System

With the globalization of economy and high-speed development of informationtechnology, especially since the global economic crisis in2008, the competition has becomeheavier and heavier, which caused many production planning issues in Schaeffler GroupGreater China, such as low transparency of production capacity bottlenecks, instability andless elasticity of production planning, low delivery reliability, high inventories, etc. So it isvery important and urgent to improve the current production planning system.In allusion to the production planning issues of Schaeffler Group Greater China industry,this paper studies the appropriate programs for improving production planning from threeaspects: method, process and system.Firstly, the paper studies and analyses the existed problems of current productionplanning method and system for the plant, and studies the advanced theory in productionplanning and control such as manufacturing resource planning, just in time, theory ofconstrains, lean production, etc. And advances the technical roadmap for improvingproduction planning.Secondly, from the aspect of production planning method, the paper designs a trainmodel production planning method and a planning level, uses the function of planningstrategy, planning freezing zone and planning fence and then realizes the association of theproduction planning and practice, so that the continuity, stability, accuracy and flexibility ofproduction planning are insured.In addition, from the aspect of production process, the paper designs an integratedplanning process model with the consideration of supply value chain to define theresponsibility and standard operation procedure of each position. As a result, the productionplanning is integrated and implemented efficiently. Finally, from the aspect of information system, this paper studies the function modules ofproduction planning system and programs an overall systematic function architecture ofproduction planning according to the improvement production method and process. Theimprovement production planning system was implemented on the SAP ERP system bycustomizing and ABAP enhancement. The improvement of the system will make theproduction planning more accurate, reliable and efficient in the whole production planningoperation and have solved the problems of production planning.According to the research result, the advanced management technologies which sprungup with the rapid development of information science and are closely related to the productionplanning have driven the manufacturing, but still have the advantages and disadvantages.Therefore, enterprises need to analyze their own production planning issues, and use theseadvanced techniques of planning and controlling, then finally set up a suitable solutionprogram of production planning to solve the problems of production planning and will bemore and more competitive in the market.
