The Research Of Complementarity Of Industry Between Northwest Of China And Central Asian Countries

Since the beginning of2000, the western development strategy have been nearly for15years, the economy of the western region has made great progress. All aspects of social livingstandards have been greatly improved. Under the same environment of a large-scaledevelopment, the northwest region of China has also received a great benefit. A review ofeconomic development of the northwest region in the past15years, it is not difficult to findthat, although the environment of the Northwest China is bad; its infrastructure is inadequate,and even is backward, the Northwest China will have its own unique development ifopportunities of development seized.With its development of nearly15years in the Northwest of China, the mainachievements are: the rapid economic growth, although the economy is very difficult tocompare with the Middle-East regions, from the rate of growth of the regional economicweight in recent years, the northwest region’s economic growth rate far exceeds theMiddle-East provinces; the good industrial development, although the development of theNorthwest is developed late and far behind the eastern region, after many discussions throughempirical analysis in establishing industry based on the experience of other regions, in someextent, it guarantees the correctness of the general direction in industrial development. Thedevelopment of the industry is adaptable to the local conditions and is down to earth. Thedevelopment of the western development has a wide influence. Under the governmentpreferential policies, a large number of aspiring young people are attracted to join the greatdevelopment of the Northwest region, to have provided the intellectual support for the futurethere. Labor rich in elements of the Middle East will be attracted to come to the Northwestregion. The strategy is good to make the effective allocation of resources, and to ease theovercapacity in the eastern area. The Northwest China is the door open to the west; theeconomic development in northwest area is conducive to our country and central Asiancountries and even the Europe for trade cooperation. People’s living standards have beengreatly improved, the most direct benefit of the western development are the local residents,and infrastructure has been improved, and it is convenient to be out and in. The income levelscan get improved continuously.Currently, in the Northwest region, there is a stable development in industry. It will meeta new developmental opportunity for linking to the industries in the eastern regions. Ifundertaken effectively, the industrial level in the Northwest region will be further enhanced.The integration of the Northwest region and the implementation of further industrialupgrading will have great effect. Besides, our country will pay more attention on trade andeconomic cooperation between the Central Asian and European countries, the grand blueprint for the reconstruction of the new silk road is proposed. And the western region is the onlyway of the ancient Silk Road, and the two industrial development strategies providesopportunities for the Northwest industries in a further prosperity. This thesis makes acomplementary analysis on the status of the northwest industries and the five Central Asiancountries in industrial status. The industry development will further enhance the indurtrialcapacity of the northwest. However, the northwest region in the trading with the CentralAsian countries will directly restricts the industry development. The thesis, starting with theperspective of the industries, analyzes the northwest China and Central Asian countries’industrial complementarities; then it analyzes the trade status of the five Central Asiancountries and our country from the use of trade gravity. It is found that both parties in tradeexist in inadequacy. Therefore, the complementary fields in the western regions of China andthe five Central Asia countries can be continued to be expanded in the large-scale production,the complementarities in weak industries should be in moderate development instead of blinddevelopment.
