Research On Competitive Power Of The Agro-processing Industry In Henan Province

The core of Central NO.1Document is three problems about countryside,agriculture and farmers from2004to2012, which plays a decisive role in thedevelopment of agriculture and rural economic growth. Agro-food processing industrymake important sense for promoting rural economic development, stabilizing themarket supply, and narrowing the gap between urban and rural economy, meanwhile,it is the breakthrough to solving the urban-rural contradiction, promoting urban-rurallinkage as well as solving the issues of three problems about countryside, agricultureand farmers, and it is a important way to achieve the coordinated development ofurban and rural areas. Agro-food processing industry is one of the six pillar industriesin Henan Province. Therefore, improving the competitiveness of the agro-foodprocessing industry is a necessary means of economic development.The paper use SPSS16.0to do factor analysis on agro-food processing industryindicators data of each province or territory by literature analysis method and factoranalysis method. In this paper, it selects14indicators in six aspects, extracting fourmain factors, then calculating the score of each main factor and comprehensive scoreof factors. Combined with the current status quo of Henan Province, it analyzes thecompetitiveness of agro-food processing industry of Henan Province in31provincesand municipalities systematically. From the result of comprehensive factor, agro-foodprocessing industry of Henan Province has strong competitiveness nationwide,because its comprehensive score ranked first. Judging from a single factor,profitability and solvency of the enterprises of the agro-food processing industry isrelatively strong, but their economies of scale and development capabilities are weak,which points out the direction for improving competitiveness of the agro-foodprocessing industry. We should continue to reinforce the profitability and solvency ofthe enterprises of the agro-food processing industry, enlarging its scale of production and enhancing its development capability.There are two main light point. First, the paper studies the competitiveness ofagro-food processing industry of Henan Province from micro-level, contactingindustries and enterprises deep-seated, and proposes the policy recommendations ofimproving the agro-food processing industry targeted and realistically. Second, we getthe competitiveness of agro-food processing industry of Henan Province byprocessing the data sample and ranking the competitiveness of regional agro-foodprocessing industry. According to the situation of the competitiveness of the agro-foodprocessing industry in Henan Province, combining with theories, conclusions ofempirical analysis, and impact factors, the paper analyze the competitiveness of theagro-food processing industry systematically, and put forward some ideas to improvethe competitiveness of the agro-food processing industry from the aspects of thequality of the agro-food, government support, industrialization, and relying onsuperior resources.
