Research On The Competitiveness Of Agricultural Products Processing Industry In Jinzhong

Rural development is always the core of China's development.The processing industry for agricultural products is playing an increasingly important and prominent role in the industrialization of rural areas,the integration of three industries and the revitalization of rural areas.Jinzhong is a major agricultural city of Shanxi province,which is not only abundant in production conditions and natural resources,but also takes a competitive advantage in labor resources and so on.Now,with the advancement of urban-rural integration,the status of the processing industry for agricultural products of Jinzhong has been gradually improved.However,compared with the provinces or counties that started an earlier development in the processing industry for agricultural products,there is still a big gap between Jinzhong and its counterparts.Therefore,the processing industry for agricultural products is an important issue vital to the national interest and the people's livelihood,but at present,there is no study on the development situation and overall scale of the processing industry for agricultural products in Jinzhong.This article is focused on the study of the processing industry for agricultural products in Jinzhong.Firstly,an analysis is made from six aspects based on the current situation of the processing industry in Jinzhong.With the abundant raw materials in Jinzhong and the encouragement and support from state and government,the processing industry for agricultural products accounts for a increasingly great proportion in manufacturing and has gradually established its own competitive advantages.Secondly,based on Porter Competition Theory,the factors that influence the development of the processing industry for agricultural products in Jinzhong are analyzed from two basic elements and other supporting elements.Then eight indexes related to competitiveness evaluation are selected and the evaluation index is established,furthermore,the main advantages and disadvantages as well as the problems in the development are analyzed.It is pointed out that the weak industrial base,the relatively undeveloped economy and the weak awareness of market economy lead to various problems in the development of the processing industry for agricultural products in Jinzhong.Unbalanced development occurs in different counties and cities.The processing industry for agricultural products is not completely integrated with the local leading industries.The abundant resources are not fully used.Without a solid foundation,the enterprise not only lacks perfect management system and rich experience,but also does not establish a modern enterprise system.All these factors impede the development of the processing industry for agricultural products.On the basis of in-depth research,the suggestion is put forward that Jinzhong should promote the construction of superiority area of characteristic agricultural products by cultivating leading industries and propel the deep processing and speed up the creation of its own brand by recruiting talents.
