The Study On The Competitiveness Of Agricultural Products Processing Industry In Anhui Province

Agricultural products processing industry, associated with agriculture, industry and circulation, is the combination point to promote the industrialization of agriculture and the development of rural industrialization which plays an important role in the adjustment of agricultural structure, increasing their income and promoting rural economic development. Anhui, as one of the major agricultural provinces, possesses rich natural and human resources for the processing of agricultural products. At present, agricultural products processing industry in Anhui Province already has a certain scale, and has formed some dominant industries and products. These dominant industries and products have with strong competitiveness in the domestic and overseas markets. However, compared with other developed provinces there is still a gap in the overall level of the total scale, productivity, technological level, competitiveness of the agricultural product processing industry of Anhui. How to identify these gaps? How to display the competitiveness of agricultural products processing industry? They are the focus of this articleThere are two purposes of analyzing the agricultural products processing industry of Anhui Province. The first one is that it can make us get a clear view of the situation of Anhui province's agricultural products processing industry, the other one is that some factors which influent the competitiveness of agricultural products can be found in the process of analyzing. Meanwhile, we must establish a correlation of the index system in order to evaluate the competitiveness of Anhui agricultural product processing industry. Although many scholars have put forward their own evaluation rules, there is not a single and commonly accepted standard evaluation rule. In this paper, based on the industry competition theory and according to the realities of agricultural product processing industry of Anhui Province, the author selects 13 indicators to form a evaluating system in order to evaluate the competitiveness of Anhui agricultural product processing industry from market performance, output efficiency, capitalization, profitability and technical capabilities. These indicators are standardized through the Anhui relative to the national level. The results show that the competitiveness of Anhui's agricultural products processing industry is not very strong in the overall country, but can be strong among the six provinces of central China. Finally, the author gives some suggestions on how to improve Anhui province's competitiveness of agricultural products processing industry based on the data analyzing.
