| On November4th2011, the state council officially approved the Development Plan for Shandong Peninsula Oceanic Economic Zone. It marks that the construction of Shandong Peninsula Oceanic Economic Zone has been accepted in to "twelfth five-year" development program. Shandong Peninsula Oceanic Economic Zone and even Shandong province are facing great opportunities. So how to seize the opportunity to promote the economic development, optimize the allocation of resources, speed up the progress of urbanization and maximize the urban competitiveness in this zone need to be solved urgently.In this paper, I use the7cities at prefectural level in Shandong Peninsula Oceanic Economic Zone including Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, Rizhao,Weifang, Bingzhou, and Dongying as samples to study by using the related knowledge in Statistics and applying multiple aspect approach. And also qualitative and quantitative analyses are used to analyze the samples. By building an evaluation model and an evaluation system of the urban competitiveness and analyzing the influence of the development of the zone with the key point of influence index to the urban competitiveness, this paper offers corresponding strategy to enhance the urban competitiveness.This particular paper is aimed to explore from such following aspects:Firstly, this paper introduces the correlation theory of the existing urban competitiveness, including the meaning of urban competitiveness, components. Then it introduces the current situation of the cities in this zone and the ordinary ways for the evaluation system of urban competitiveness, including the principles of index choice and soon.In the second place, benefited from the Spss statistical analysis tools, we are able to carry on standardized treatment directed at samples of20indicators from selected seven cities, and therefore, through we using cluster analysis and principal component analysis, the indicators will be processed with Drop ester treatment, in order that fewer as well as representatives indicators are able to be selected, and then right through the entropy method, we could determine the weight of each indicator selected, and at the same time,the final score of each city is able to be calculated. The last but not the least, through the usage of single factor analysis of variance, the main factors which exert impact on urban competitiveness of Peninsula Blue Economic Zone could be identified. Certainly, economic strength, infrastructure, foreign exchange earnings, technology professionals are the main factors affecting the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone in the respect of city’s competitiveness. Consequently, aimed at the main factors affecting the competitiveness of the city,we are prepared to propose relevant countermeasures regarding on enhancing city competitiveness of the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, and more importantly.According to the results, we can find out that Qingdao,Yantai,Weihai,the leading city in Shandong, has the advantage over the other cities. It shows its power in all the aspect. So they can use its power to lead the other cities to develop better. In comparing,Rizhao,Binzhou,Weifang and Dongying are weaker than other cities. So they need to try their best to develop their economy, foreign trade, science and education and facilities, In this way,they can improve their urban competitiveness... |
