Power grid enterprises are important parts of the power industry. They bear the tasks of constructing and operating the power grids, and they should ensure a safer, cleaner, more economical and sustainable electricity supply. During the period of building a moderately prosperous society in China, the power companies have much more to do. Under the pressure from the external and internal environment, to fulfill the "four service" purposes and achieve a scientific and harmonious development, the power grid enterprises must strengthen their abilities of management methods innovation, improving the management level.Lean management model is a fully flexible, user-friendly and advanced management mode, enabling companies to product and service the markets with the fastest response speed, the lowest cost and best quality, it is widely used in modern enterprises. Through implementing it, the power grid companies can optimize the operational processes and resource allocation, improve the operational efficiency and business performances, raise the customer satisfaction and stimulate the innovation. Then the lean management model enhances the company’s management level, job performance and social image, etc.Based on this, the paper makes a study on the power grid enterprise lean management model. Firstly, it researches the theory of lean management model and the practice experience, and then analyzes the status of power grid enterprise to know its problems and the feasibility of the implementation of lean management model. On this basis, the paper analyzes the power grid enterprise value chain to establish a whole systematic lean management model of power enterprise. Then its implementation is studied with the PDCA method:put forward the overall scheme which is with the lean thinking and tools as the basis, supported by lean culture and organizational team, implemented with procedural process, standardization, information technology to realize the lean target. Then the paper introduces the construction process and the specific lean projects implementation steps, establishes a lean construction effect evaluation system, and puts forward the evaluation methods. The last is the consolidation and improvement and it sums up some problems and countermeasures. S Power Grid Company is introduced as an example of its construction and effect, providing a reference for other power grid companies.
