With the rapid development of tourism industry, Tourist Hotel industry rapidlyexpanding scale in our country, industry continuously upgrade quality, the industryinfluence constantly enhance. But it also faces some new problems in the process ofdevelopment, required a high degree of attention and concern. Including hotelinvestment increases continuously, hotel business benefit gradually decreased; the rapidgrowth in the number of high Star Hotel, the rapid decline in the number of low StarHotel Star Hotel; pay close attention to international brands, domestic brands do notattention; rapid development of industrial decline, decrease in employee compensationcompetitiveness; guests requirements continuously improve, decrease of hotel servicequality etc. The development of Chongqing city Tourist Hotel industry also faces asimilar problem, this study has certain practical significance to these problems solution,will be conducive to the sustained and healthy development of Chongqing city TouristHotel.This study based on the spatial statistics analysis method, buffer analysis method,correlation analysis method, studied the spatial distribution of Star Hotel in Chongqingurban district.The main research conclusions:(1) The evolution of the spatial distribution of Star Hotel in urban district hasexperienced the following stages: scattered distribution in1997; aggregation mechanismformation, distribution of the single center (1998--1999); strengthen the aggregationmechanism, the distribution of multi center (1999--2007); diffusion mechanismformation, gathering center less and axial distribution generation (2008--2013).(2) From the whole of star hotel, the spatial distribution of star hotel in urbandistrict has the following characteristics: the spatial distribution of “Y shape”; thespatial distribution of “multi center”; the spatial distribution of “wave attenuation”.From the part of star hotel, different grades hotel have different aggregation degree;different grades hotel have different aggregation directions. (3) The spatial distribution of Star Hotel in urban district show obvious traffic trend;show some business trends; show obvious attractions tendency. In addition, the StarHotel more distributed in grade three and above land area, the high price rejection is nottoo obvious.(4) Development issues of Star Hotel in urban district. Star Hotel slow overallgrowth, market share has been reduced; low Star Hotel is "crowding out" market;excessive growth of high Star Hotel, a substantial decline in the performance;imbalanced regional structure cause the supply and demand contradiction.(5) The optimization measures of spatial distribution of Star Hotel in urban district.Culture development center and the axis of development, including4developmentcenter; and2development axis. Another is to optimize the regional structure andhierarchical structure optimization.
