According to the report of international energy agency, China has become the largest energy consumer in the place of the United States since2009. Although energy resource especially coal resource is abundant in China, the supply of energy can hardly meet the increasing demand and is faced up with great pressure. Meanwhile the problem of global climate change arises from the application of fossil fuel becomes increasingly serious. Global warming may not only cause the melting of polar glaciers and the rising of sea level, but damage the ecological balance and threat living environment. It influences the global economy, politics and the social stability in the long term. Thus, the development and utilization of biomass renewable energy such as methane and straw is now a hot issue receiving much attention. Forest contains enormous biomass energy which makes it the most optimal choice of replacing fossil fuel. It is clean and productive whose carbon dioxide emission is almost zero. The utilization of forest biomass energy makes human beings less dependent on fossil fuel, relieves the conflict between the demand and supply of resource, reduces pollution, improves environment problems and contributes to the harmonious development of economy and environment.Research on forest biomass energy in our country is in its early stage. The evaluation method on the amount of forest biomass energy needs unification and improvement. Besides analysis of restricting factors of forest biomass energy has much shortage and series of problems remain unresolved. For a long time, the process of the development and utilization of forest biomass energy is comparatively slow. Under this condition, it’s urgent to establish a systematical valuation model on the amount of forest biomass energy. By analyzing components of forest biomass energy, we will get to know the construct and usage conditions of forest biomass energy better, which contributes a lot to apply and develop the forest biomass energy of our country in a much more effective way,This essay establishes forest biomass energy based on bottom-up method and allocation of woody biomass energy, in the perspective of stainable production and operation of forest. After that this essay evaluates the amount of forest biomass energy in our country using the latest data. The author concludes that of the whole amount of forest biomass energy in our country except for industrial round-wood and firewood, the residue amounts to1.171billion, of which0.397billion(almost34%of the residue) is renewable biomass energy. Among species of forest biomass energy, the residues of forestry production make up the most part. If can be used more effectively, the residues can become an important supply approach. Up to now, the important energy forest only makes up15%of all the resource. That means there will be upside potential in planting and collection of our country. At last, the author comes up with specific suggestions after analyzing restriction factors, comparing the supply and usage of forest biomass energy...
