The transportation network is one of the important factors related to tourismdevelopment.The paper use tourism revenues and passenger data of all kinds oftransport network in Zhangjiajie from1998to2011, and introduce responsecoefficient of transportation network for tourism development. And the standarddeviation, Gini coefficient and σ coefficient are applied to analyze responsedifferences of transportation network for tourism development. The three conclusionsare reached: the total response coefficient is basically coincide with responsecoefficients of highway transportation, and highway transportation in Zhangjiajie isthe main way in response to the tourism development; the response of airtransportation is the most active,while the response of highway and rail transportationis flat. The differences of transportation network in response to the tourismdevelopment in Zhangjiajie exist and the trend of decrease is not stable.The paper,based on the relevent statistics in Zhangjiajie during1998and2011,builds the transportation industry response model driven by the tourism andcomes up with three ways which improve the quality of the traffic, raises the trafficaccessibility and perfects the structure of the transportation network to responsetourism. At the same time,also introduces the concept of the response intensity oftourism traffic. and further analyze the influential mechanism of tourism trafficresponse. in Zhangjiajie from the static and dynamic.The study shows that there, ingeneral, is an up-trendency with tourism traffics response coefficient in Zhangjiajie.From the static perspective, provided other conditions remain unchanged, There is astrong correlation between the level of economic development and the mileage ofhighway,the investment intensity of tourism traffic and tourism traffic responsestrength with the coefficients of0.7718,0.8827,0.8429and0.7232.From the dynamicperspective, There is a positive correlation between the investment intensity oftourism traffic and the mileage of highway, transportation costs account for tourismexpenditure and tourism traffics response coefficient. however, per capita GDP andtourism traffic response coefficient show a negative correlation The factors whichimpact tourism traffic, in a descending order,are the investment intensity of tourismtraffic,the mileage of highway,the level of economic development.
