Urbanization Response To Tourist Industry Upgrading In Zhangjiajie

At present,it has been an urgent requirement for the development of tourism economy and an important issue faced by the Chinese tourist industry in the coming period of time to handle and fit the new development situation that the tourist industry has been repositioned by China,accelerate industrial transformation,optimization and upgrading,optimize industrial development model and method to a great extent and propel the process of urbanization in an orderly and rational manner,so this research on the urbanization response to tourist industry upgrading is expected to provide a reference for tourist industry upgrading and urbanization level increase as well as a further supplement to the systematic research on tourism urbanization.First,this research defined the two parts of urbanization response to tourist industry upgrading through an in-depth analysis of its evolution path.One is drive,namely the driving effects of urbanization on tourists industry upgrading,and the other is response,namely the urbanization response and feedback to tourists industry upgrading,so such “drive-response” relationship becomes the response relationship between tourist industry upgrading and urbanization.Second,based on data processing and analysis on the status quo and dynamic mechanism of urbanization development in Zhangjiajie,this research divided it into three stages,namely formation,consolidation and development,summarized the three dynamic factors affecting the urbanization development in Zhangjiajie,including tourism,resource endowment and government policy,and elaborated the driving effects of urbanization on the tourist industry from the perspectives of transformation of economic structure,growth of urban population,change of employment structure,increase of urban investment,accessibility of transportation and change of spatial structure.Third,this research constructed the urbanization response model and introduced the response coefficient to analyze the evolution characteristics of the time series of urbanization response intensity based on the 1989-2016 data of Zhangjiajie and further explored the influencing mechanism.As shown by the results,the urbanization response intensity presents a rising trend,which is closely related to the rationality of industrial structure,intensity of urban development,development level of tourism economy,intensity of urban tourism development,and internationalization level of tourism with correlation coefficients of 0.9688,0.8491,0.7738,0.7788 and 0.6840 respectively.From the perspective of the influencing mechanism,the influence order from high to low is proportion of tourism income in tertiary industry,intensity coefficient of tourism development,per capita built area,growth rate of the tourist industry,and proportion of inbound tourists.The rationality of industrial structure and the intensity of urban development are the dominant factors that affect the intensity of urbanization response to tourist industry upgrading in Zhangjiajie.Finally,relevant recommendations were proposed based on the above research.
