| With the rapid development of urbanization in China, a large number of agricultural landtransformed into land for construction through the land expropriation. In the progress of landexpropriation, a large number of new social groups--landless farmers, came into being. With thegrowing of which lead to the intensifying of social contradiction, an account of some major defectsof the compensation and resettlement system of the land expropriation in China.. Expropriatingland from farmers at a low price，not only failed to put landless farmers onto the way to wealth, butleft most of them worse off. If their standard of living declined, they would express complaints inpetition system. So the number of cases of land petition is increasing significantly, sometimesextreme events occur. The Chinese government has been advocating to build a harmonious societyto improve people’s livelihood further, therefore, the establishment and improvement for thecompensation system of land expropriation is of great significance for social stability, people’slivelihood and social construction of well-off society now.The paper is based on case analysis of Chinese land expropriation compensation system.I hope to use good experience of foreign land expropriation compensation system, to put forwardnew ideas of strengthening of the land compensation and resettlement in the new era.The first part describes the background and significance of the topic. The second partdescribes the situation of the land expropriation compensation system and explains some conceptsrelated. In the third part, I use a case to discuss the current land expropriationcompensation, and analyze the causes of the problem. The fourth part introduces the experience offoreign land expropriation compensation, so that we can advance the system of China according totheir enlightenment. The fifth part gives suggestion on how to improve the land expropriationcompensation mechanism in china. |
