Lewis Mumford, who was the very famous humanist in American history, histechnological philosophy thoughts deeply critic the repression and control of thetechnology to humanities, he thinks that in fact the essence of modern technology isa kind of “Megamachine”. This paper depicts the origin of “Megamachine” and itsthree kinds of specific forms, a kind of monotechnics, centralized management andan imprisoned ideology, meanwhile, it also analyzed the production technology,management system and entrepreneur culture of Foxconn, thus trying to find out thesimilarities between the tangible “Megamachine” in reality of Foxconn and theintangible “Megamachine” in Lewis Mumford’s technological philosophy thoughts.All the media reports from society about Foxconn’s issues these years mainlyfocused on practical side, whereas, there were seldom reports explained from theoryside. Since I have3years real working experience in Foxconn, I am trying tocombine the “Megamachine” idea which I learned to analyze Foxconn’s problemsfrom philosophy aspect, thus providing the theory reference of solving such troublesfor all the similar kinds of entrepreneurs. The methods in philosophy area to get ridof the control of “Megamachine” is that replacing the monotechnics with lifepolytechnics, substituting the militarized management for humanized managementand overcoming the rigid entrepreneur culture, helping the employees to cast off thespiritual evils, thus breaking down the myth of the “Megamacine”.
