Study On The Evaluation Of The City Logistics And Its Development Countermeasures

With the rapid development of urbanization and global economy, city hasdeveloped into the rallying point of modern logistics, and it bears a central role in theregional logistics. The city logistics is the main component of urban economy, whosedevelopment will inevitably lead to the development of the hinterland economyradiation. Developing the urban logistics is beneficial to promote the urbanproductivity, improve the industrial structure, and improve the national economy andthe enterprise economic benefit, which will enhance comprehensive competitivenessof cities. In recent years, the rapid development of the logistics industry in Jiangxiprovince, the city has become the focus of development of logistics in Jiangxiprovince. While, the urban logistics development level of Jiangxi province comparedto the other cities in our country is low, and there is the big gap between Jiangxiprovince and the logistics strong provinces. Therefore, status of urban logisticscompetitiveness in Jiangxi province, made its development strategy, has importantimplications for the development of Jiangxi province.Firstly, the article introduces the theory of the city logistics, the industrialcompetitiveness and the competitiveness of urban logistics. Then, it builds thecomprehensive evaluate model of the city logistics competitiveness, which covers theevaluation index system including the economic benefits, the infrastructure, thepersonnel and the environment, the information development level, and the marketcondition of the city logistics competitiveness, and the E-TOPSIS method. Thirdly, itanalyzes the developmental condition of the urban logistics in Jiangxi Province, andconcludes that the logistics demand is raising, the infrastructure is well developing,the number of the logistics company is increasing, and the soft developmentalenvironment keeps improving in Jiangxi. The comprehensive evaluation of Jiangxi’surban logistics competitiveness comes to conclusions that the urban logisticscompetitiveness of Jiangxi, of which development is unbalanced, is relatively low inChina. Except for Nanchang, the comprehensive competitiveness of urban logisticsand every kinds of urban competitiveness in Jiangxi province are relatively low. At last, on the basis of the results of analysis, this article putting forward thedevelopment countermeasure suggestions, which includes accelerating thedevelopment of logistics parks, improving the logistics infrastructure, attaching greatimportance to the logistics personnel training, intensifying the building of informationtechnology, and playing the role of government to the optimization of the logisticsmarket.
