With the development of intelligent transportation technology, the construction of intelligent bayonet system in traffic management is advancing. While monitoring road and capturing images, large amounts of vehicle feature data is produced in intelligent bayonet system. It is an important part of improving the system that the data resource is effectively used. This passage proposes to create a vehicle feature database and an application system aimed at typical illegal act in traffic law enforcement. The content includes:(1) Design of the vehicle feature database. Vehicle feature and real requirement of traffic law enforcement is firstly analysed. Concept and logical structure design is conducted. Oracle RDBMS is used to manage data and physical design is finished. The vehicle feature database is created based on the design. Vehicle feature data is stored via different kinds of databse objects.(2) B/S architecture design of the system. Software structure is analysed and B/S architecture is adopted. Thus system implementation plan is confirmed. A WEB server and a database server is arranged in local area network. An ASP.NET website programed by C# language in VS2010 environment is used for interface. The database connection mode is discussed and Oracle connection mode is choosed.(3) Function realization of the system. The functions of the system is realized by Oracle.DataAccess.Clien.dll and DataSet function. The functions of the system divides into three parts:login, data management and query application. The login modular is based on management of database user authority. The data management includes entry, modification and reduplication of data. The query application modular is able to query false plate and fleeing after accident.(4) Query optimization. The assessment of data growth and query time growth is conducted on the basis of system test and test run. Query optimization is proposed. The plans of operating environment, database and query sentences are conducted. The query time is greatly shortened by optimizing the system environment, adding SGA capacity, parting the big table, adding combined index on the query columns, optimizing the use of operational character and wildcard character in SQL and optimizing the query structure.The system is fully available for functions and of good stability.
