With the development of Internet technology and video processing technology, the application of network video shows the trend of diversification and high definition, which leads to more and more sensitive to the compression efficiency of video stream. For this purpose,Collaborative Team on video Coding Joint(JCT-VC) has developed a new generation video coding standard H.265/HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding). H.265/HEVC standard in the h.264/avc hybrid video coding framework based on, the introduction of the new coding techniques, for example, based on the model, adaptive motion vector prediction, adaptive pixel compensation, H.265/HEVC standard compression efficiency compared to H.264/AVC standard improves the double, but calculation algorithm complexity is also a substantial increase in quad tree partition, 35 kinds of intra forecast. How to effectively reduce the coding time under the premise of ensuring video quality, has become a research hotspot in H.265/HEVC standard algorithm.Focus on H.265/HEVC standard basic principle and key technology of in-depth study,focuses on the H.265/HEVC intra prediction mode selection algorithm research, a frame fast intra prediction mode selection algorithm is proposed. The improved algorithm combines 35 intra prediction modes are divided into four categories, the rate distortion optimization in order to search the best frame of intra prediction mode. Once the optimal intra prediction mode, you can stop the search in the remaining class mode, reduce the number of candidate patterns in pattern recognition in a certain extent, so as to shorten the encoding time of the intra prediction.On the basis of the improved algorithm design of video acquisition, video coding, network transmission, video decoding function unit, to achieve a based on H.265/HEVC standard algorithm evaluation prototype system, and verified by experiments, the performance of the algorithm. The experimental results show that under the same image quality, improve the algorithm of the encoder and the official test model compared to HM16.0, average rate increased by 1.623%, the encoding time is reduced by an average of 22.35%. The improved algorithm in the premise of guaranteeing video quality, effectively reduce the encoding time of the intra prediction, has certain theoretical significance and practical significance.
