The Development Of Supply Chain Information System Of Shenyang Aircraft Corporation

Material supply system, which is developed in 1999, applied in Material and Equipment Procurement Department of Shenyang Aircraft Corporation(Hereinafter referred to as SAC) cannot meet the needs of current production management, especially the needs of SAC organization change due to its earlier and premature development date. It restricts the management of procurement and development of business to some certain extent. In allusion to the existing problems of the system exploited in 1999, for example, privacy requirement cannot be satisfied, data cannot be shared and many operating functions will not be used any more, SAC needs to exploit an information system of material supply chain with comprehensive functions to standardize business process. This new system will ensure material support by implementing the internal supply chain management which contains equipment application, planning, procurement, out-put and in-put of warehouse and product assorting. Consequently, it strengthens batch management and quality guarantee so as to reduce the inventory loss.After designing the total framework by studying advanced supply chain management idea and the characteristics of enterprise resource planning(ERP) management system, the six detailed module design of basic business platform, basic data management, basic data management, basic data management and material inspection management are also completed by means of combining others’ experience and superiority and relevant professional knowledge. This system is developed on schedule, and its test operation is successful. Therefore, it is operated on line officially. The effective system not only promotes the management level of Procurement Department, but also achieves the butt joint with other relevant departments such as Finance Department, Production Department and Test Department. Consequently, the dynamic condition of material and equipment can be understood by every relevant department, so as to facilitate balanced production and push forward informational construction of SAC.The information of current material and equipment management of ASC is controlled dynamically according to the incorporation of logistics, cash flow and information flow based on the new system in which business and finance are integrated. This new developed system provides great support for a scientific and rational material procurement plan and the important decision of material procurement of SAC. New ideas and new approach with new technology on SAC material management method will be probed continuously to achieve the target of lowering procurement cost, improving the efficiency of material supply, reducing occupation of capital and sharing of resources extensively.
