Research Of Narrative Discourse For The Feature Of 《Esquire》

The study focuses on the domestic men’s magazine 《Esquire》, among the feature’s developing problom.Although it’s the men’s fashion magazine, but is quite effective in the field of feature writing,it can be regarded as the sample of Narrative Studies.I selected twenty feature articles of 《 Esquire 》(from March in 2014 to February in 2016)as samples,from three aspects:the perspective of the narrative,the narrative voice,the narrative frequency.Founding that in the aspect of narrative perspective,there are calm flow of the perspective in the story,or regular perspective transformation,so the text is full of rhythm in the structure;in the aspect of the narrative voice, some reports use novel Narrative,chareacters in the story making their own voice,the traces of narrator were wiped out,making the story more vivid.At last,in the aspect of the frequency of narrative,plot and structure and dialogue are repeated, bringing musical meaning and beauty.
