The mission of TMSR Project(Thorium-based Molten-Salt Reactor nuclearenergy system), Chinese Academy of Sciences, is to achieving the effective utilization of Thorium resource as well as the composite utilization of atomic energy. As a heat transport system, the TMSR thermal loops take the heat produced in the reactor out for the nuclear heat applications in an efficient and safety way, by forcing the reactor coolant flow. Although the advanced insulation technology is used, the heat loss is still unavoidable in the hermal loops. Especially for the case of accidents such as the loop coolant leakages, the insulation module faults, the heat loss significantly changes. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a real-time monitoring software on heat loss of the TMSR thermal loops for its safely operation.Firstly, the physics model for heat loss from the pipe and the tank is established based on heat loss mechanism. Then the real-time monitoring software on heat loss of the TMSR thermal loops is developed, which abided the basic software engineering processes, including environment configuration, interface programming, physics model implementation, software coding, software code test. Finally, this software is tested in the NNCL constructed in TMSR. The heat loss for one thermal loop can be treated as sum of section by section and each setion heat loss power, depended on its geometry shape, either straitht pipe, U/V pipe or tank, is calculated by the values of temperature meters installed in the loop. The software development is completed including database for the temperature online data acquisition, the human-machine interface for heat loss monitor operation. Based on black-box model method, take NNCL loop as an example, the completed software is tested by comparing our software output results and the results calculated by the thermal calculations. The experiment test results shows that our software is correct and reliability. In summary, using the framework of EPICS and CSS, a real-time monitoring software, for TMSR thermal loop kind is developed and experimented tested, and it will be useful in the future development of the TMSR monitoring system software and helpful for the safely operation of TMSR thermal loops.
