With the rapid development of the power electronic technology,the application range of the power electronic equipment is becoming more and more widely.As a very important part of power electronic technology,therefore the Pulse width modulation technology becomes more and more important.The type of control scheme and the overall performance of the control system have been improved.If using traditional DSP to realize PWM technology,its circuit structure is very complex.But PWM can be generated by using FPGA device,which has the advantages of high accuracy and fast response speed and allows the PWM cycle vary from milliseconds to seconds,this is difficult to achieve for DSP.And the FPGA can design the whole system in one chip and realize the so-called on-chip SOC system,which greatly reduce the size.Using high integration,high speed field programmable gate array FPGA provides a guarantee for realizing the PWM of high speed and high precision.This research mainly finished the following work based on the background :Firstly,according to the development and demand of modern power electronic control technology,the working principle and mathematical model of several kinds of commonly used PWM control technology are analyzed in detail;Then by using of simulation software MATLAB,the system simulation model is build.And the mathematical model is transformed to the SG models by System Generator.Secondly,For the main steps of control technology,modeling method is introduced in detail.The specific parameter are set in SG model simulation environment and the using of function built-in module can get Verilog code of various PWM control technology.The FPGA hardware implementation of the algorithm can be achieved after compiling,synthesizing and simulation test.Thirdly,The key to realizing the FPGA implementing of pulse width modulation technology is the conversion of control algorithm and Verilog code.This paper use Xilink System Generator tool to automatically realize conversion,which solves thedifficulty perfectly and effectively shorten the development cycle by eliminating the complex manual programming.By the comparison and analysis of the simulation waveform between Simulink and System Generator,the output pulse is consistent,which verifies the correctness of this study.
