The Negative Influence Of Network Populism On College Students And Countermeasures Research

Under the background of reform and opening up and social transformation, the social thoughts of our country present diversified development. Social thoughts as well as performance of social psychology in specific environment for people, and can be understood as the dominant ideology by certain theory. While as a kind of psychological performance of the people, it is worthwhile for us to be vigilant, the thought of which is mainly the extreme populist, whose main purpose is to affect people’s values and rhetoric behavior. With the continuous development of the network, the constantly increasing number of Internet users and the advantages of Internet communication make populism get the new way of spread, network populism also gains continuous development in this process and becomes one of the worst social thoughts in China. Besides, its spread and development have led to a lot of new social problems, and also led to the studies of domestic and foreign scholars.Social thoughts in the development of Internet technology has entered a new era of image, text, sound. As an important part of network transmission, college students plays an important role in the social thoughts transmission, due to college students are not mature enough in mental development, they are easily affected by the network populism, which maybe lead to irrational behavior. Because students can not tell what is good or bad network information, their values, outlook on life and world view will be affected by network populism,which will lead them to distorted development. The network populism aroused people’s concern mainly through the sharp comment on network public opinion of hot events, and it spreads its value in this process.On the one hand, the spread of network populism in the university promotes the students’ patriotism, it also stimulates the innovation consciousness and expands cultural horizons. On the other hand, it has a great negative impact on the college students in emotional behavior habits, extreme thinking mode, moralistic value judgment and weaken the mainstream political beliefs and so on. Therefore, it is worthwhile to do research and discussion on these questions, such as how to be vigilant and guard against the negative effects of populism in the spread of colleges and universities, how to guide the positive impact correctly and translate it into a positive energy to promote socialist core value concept. In recent years, the research on the network populism has showed a hot trend and attracted the attention of scholars, while the mainly research is about the definition of the concept, the formation of the reasons and characteristics and so on. There is few research about its influence on college students.This paper combs the related theories of populism and network populism, meanwhile it analyzes the present condition of network populism communication through the use of hot events on the network in the typical case analysis and questionnaire survey data, while focuses on the analysis of the reason about its negative influence on students, according to which, the paper proposed corresponding resolving measures. The first part of this paper mainly includes the background, purpose, significance, study status at home and abroad, as well as the content and methods of the research. The second part is about the related concepts of network populism. The third part mainly combines the data of the questionnaire survey and the typical cases to analyze the negative effects of network populism on college students. The fourth part mainly studies the negative impact from the view on state, school, family, network and college students, and minimize its negative impact on college students.
