Navigation technology has been one of the hotspots of embedded systems. Especially at the end of twentieth Century and the beginning of twenty-first Century, with the high speed development of science and technology of communication, computer and micro-electronics, navigation technology is becoming more and more diverse and intelligent. Geomagnetic navigation is a new type of navigation and positioning technology, which is based on the characteristics of geomagnetic field. In industrial automatic guided military robot, missile guidance, or technology in uncharted territory to explore, it has a good application prospect. In this paper, a large number of domestic and foreign research results on the geomagnetic navigation system are studied, the principle of geomagnetic navigation technology is analyzed, and how to apply these theories to practical application is considered. The purpose of the research on the intelligent system of geomagnetic navigation, in this paper, then design software for this hardware platform, and optimal navigation control and location algorithm, complete of the system host computer program design, and the design of intelligent vehicle system based on geomagnetic navigation is completed finally. The main research work of this paper is as follows:1. A large number of domestic and foreign research on navigation control technology is reviewed. The advantages and disadvantages of geomagnetic navigation technology and other navigation technologies are compared, and the principle of geomagnetic navigation technology is analyzed deeply.2. According to the research purpose of intelligent vehicle design based on geomagnetic navigation, the purpose and function of the system is determined, and the hardware platform is divided into different modules for chip selection, circuit design and other research, then complete an embedded system composed of ARM core STM32F407 microcontroller, 88W8686 for wireless sensor, LSM303 DLLHC sensor and other modules, and designe the embedded system PCB wiring and plate making, and finally complete the construction of intelligent car hardware platform based on geomagnetic navigation.3. By study and comparison of existing navigation and positioning algorithm, this paper optimize and transplant to the hardware platform, test and verify that the the practical feasibility of the algorithm after the optimization, finish the basic design of the intelligent geomagnetic navigation car.4. In view of the complete intelligent geomagnetic navigation system, a host computer program is designed, and the real-time monitoring, control function and path planning function are designed.Based on the above research results, the geomagnetic based navigation and positioning technology is applied to the independent research and development of intelligent car, completed the overall design of the intelligent car system. The research results show that the navigation and positioning technology based on the principle of geomagnetic navigation can be applied to the automatic guided robot in the industrial background, the design scheme is feasible.
