This dissertation is based on the need for the audio amplifier power control on mobile terminal and the character of the normal speaker to introduce a design for peripheral frame to resolve the difficulty of the power range control for audio amplifier. The whole system will be just defined as a sub system for the whole mobile terminal. For the reason above, the design of the peripheral frame for dynamic power range control of D-class audio amplifier was based on the micro control unit with enhanced 51 cores to maintain the low hardware cost. This design used many methods to reduce the hardware cost of the system. For the power supply of the system, the whole system is based on single-polar power system to reduce the complexity of this part. To avoid using the expensive components like FPGA or DSP with high performance, a low speed MCU is selected as the core of the whole system using analog integrating circuit and logic gates as auxiliary circuit. This design achieve the function that the detective for the power of the amplifier. In another hand, the design reserved the port for further improvement on the software. On the frame of the power detective, here reverse the ADC port for further expanding of accurate power detective and other detective. In the power system reserved the control port for adjustable boost. This engineering architecture has achieved the function that controls the dynamic power range of D-class audio amplifier. And this can provide a basic structure for die-level integrations and further development about “Software defines functions”.
