With the rapid development of simulation technology, HLA has been widely applied to the product simulation in the field of military, civil and commerce, because of its good interoperability and reusability characteristics. As the expansion of the scale and the improvement of complexity, single-discipline simulation hasn’t met the needs of modern high-tech simulation products. Therefore, co-simulation working with different disciplinary simulation software will make a new tendency in order to improve simulation efficiency and save development costs.According to the demand of ground loading vehicle virtual test for aerospace launching, this paper aims to develop a co-simulation system which can support different disciplinary software to simulate with HLA/RTI technology. On the basis of mastering the background and theoretical knowledge of HLA, following the development steps of simulation federation, the paper analyzess the requirements and sets up the architecture of multi-disciplinary virtual test application system, forming a support environment where virtual tests run. Meanwhile, it also completes the division of function modules and the design of simulation procedure, discusses the detailed design program and concrete implementation methods in the process of system development, and gives us specific solution about many key technologies such as multidisciplinary co-simulation, SOM/FOM design, time management, data performance and so on. At last, it shows the final running effect and makes prospects for further work.By combining HLA technology with C/S architecture and using BH RTI 2.3 as the bottom running support environment, the system integrates simulation models in the field of machinery, hydraulic pressure and control into a platform via tools ADAMS, AMESIM and MATLAB, achieving multidisciplinary simulation in virtual test through the interoperability among federal members. In addition, it can monitor the simulation process through interactive interface and data performance tools. Implementation of the system is a preliminary exploration and practice of multidisciplinary co-simulation technology, which promotes the parallel development of multi-disciplinary simulation module and shortens the development cycle of simulation system, but also builds a plug and play supporting environment for different simulation applications, and at the same time enhances the versatility, flexibility and scalability of the simulation running platform.
