Design And Implementation Of Oracle Data-warehouse-based BI Display Platform

With the lower of the logistics costs in recent years, the number of people online shopping is increasing at a rapid speed. The e-commerce industry gets a rapid development. People begin to pay attention to sustainable development and have higher requirements specified in decision-making.Companies require more reasonable and effective data support, which requires a lot of sales data for analysis. The data warehouse come into being and develops rapidly. Data warehouse, data analysis and how BI systems works has become more and more essential to business. A good BI system can help companies to establish a clear and accurate decision support system and achieve a true sense of the business intelligence. With a comprehensive record of enterprise business data,such as sales data and inventory data,companies can realize the allocation of resources and channel management better.This system firstly use the ETL tools, Kettle, to extract data from various data sources(such as MySQL, SQL Server and excel sheets) to aggregate into the Oracle database.And then data in Oracle will be stored in three different levels,CDC layer, ODS layer and DW layer.Data in the three layers can be transformed through the stored procedures.We create different procedures for the different needs, timing calls, and write the data to the results table for the calls of front-end display module.The display module uses the B/S architecture which is more convenient than C/S architecture. BI system is developed with PHP, and the page data show is realized with ExtJS. Front pages can show the dynamic data. The data will be shown in a variety of ways, including line charts, pie charts and histograms. It can show the same type of data of different times so that we can find the variation trend.The system has been tested a period of time and it shows that the system provides a well-organized data storage and show. It is very convenient for company members to find out the data that they want. It also provides the better decision support to companies. All of users believe that the system is of great value.
