Since optical fiber was developed, optical communications has been rapidly developing. Optical fiber communication has experienced two transitions from short wave to long wave and from multimode to single mode. Because of the excellent properties of the microstructure fiber, many traditional optical fibers can not be compared. It has been widely used in optical fiber communication field, and has become one of the hot spots in the research.First, We introduce the micro structure optical fiber and review the research on microstructured fiber with nearly zero dispersion and Microstructure Fiber with Dispersion Compensation in recent years.Second, a kind of microstructured fiber whose core are formed by omitting seven air hole, is proposed. Firstly, the influence of the change of air holes on the characteristics of microstructure fiber is studied. Secondly, according to the research results, the structural parameters of the microstructure fiber are adjusted. Finally, microstructured fiber with nearly zero dispersion is designed,Third, We design the all solid microstructure fiber, for mode area of most of the microstructured fiber with nearly zero dispersion is relatively small, or complex structure and is not conducive to the actual drawing, etc. By analyzing the variation of the dispersion characteristics and the effective mode area characteristics with the structural parameters, the all solid microstructure fiber is designed. Meanwhile, it also has a large effective mode area.Fourth, Study on the dispersion compensation microstructure fiber. A simple structure of microstructure fiber is proposed. Through the research on the dispersion characteristics of the microstructure fiber, the dispersion compensation microstructure fiber is obtained by the variation of the dispersion characteristics with the structural parameters.Fifth, Research on the dispersion compensation microstructure fiber based on the all solid microstructure fiber. By analyzing the influence of the structural parameters on the dispersion characteristics, All solid dispersion compensation microstructure fiber.
