In our country, with the aging of the population and the increasing number of patients with chronic diseases, such as the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, it is gradually difficult to handle with the situation under the traditional medical system. The corresponding medical expenses are bigger and it becomes a big challenge to the development of the modern economics and the society. However, the tough situation can be largely improved by the mobile medical technology, which is of great importance and has a bright future in the aspect of constructing the new medical system with the feature of low cost, high efficiency and better quality, for the reason that this kind of technology can reduce the hospitalization rates and the requirements of the hospital-centered medical resources.After the survey of the portable health detecting/controlling systems both in our country and all over the world, the paper develops a mobile health information detecting/controlling rehabilitation system which is based on the smart phone with Android system. The emphasis is put on the extraction and processing of the physiological signals, as well as the application of this technology. The system can implement the function of data/image transmission between the mobile phone client and the sever via WiFi and 3G network. The detailed contents of the system are as follows:The system is mainly composed of three modules, i.e., the portable health information detecting/controlling module (monitoring terminal), the client in the mobile phone and the server. The kernel of the portable health information detecting/controlling module is the microcontroller STM32F103. The corresponding circuit is designed, which contains the power management sub-module, the parameter sampling/processing sub-module for the blood pressure, oxyhemoglobin saturation and pulse, the WiFi based communication sub-mobile and so forth. Also, the program is designed according to the hardware and loaded into the microcontroller. So the system can achieve the function of sampling and processing the physiological information and sending them to the client through wireless network. The monitoring terminal of the system has the significant merits of small volume and easy manipulation.Firstly, For the client part, the physiological signals are received via WiFi, transferred to the patient’s physiological parameters after processing, and displayed on the user interface of the mobile phone. Moreover, these parameters and the images in the process of rehabilitation are collected and transmitted together to the server by 3G network.For the server part, the monitoring software is designed to receive and display the data and images from the client, and in such manner, the medical staffs can see the parameters of the patients in real time during the rehabilitation and, if necessary, send the instructions back to the patients immediately.At last, the experiments are carried out to verify the correctness of the sampled health information, the stability/feasibility of the communication among the monitoring terminal, the client and the server. The experiments show that the whole system can work stably and reliably, which meets the requirements of the design.
