With the development of the times and the progress of technology, people are no longer satisfied with the simple function of human-computer interface interaction. Effective information communication and the user experience increasingly affect the efficiency of searching information and performing the task. The layout is the basic and key role in interface design. However, there is less design and research for complex digital interface layout. The majority of research is mainly focused on the Webpage layout. The layout of digital interface design is mainly studied in this paper, and cognitive psychology is used to puts forward the optimization advice on the layout design. EEG experiment on interface layout is conducted on the based of ERP technology.Firstly, this paper studies information cognitive processing from three aspects of perception, attention and decision-making in complex situations, analyzes the visual attention characteristics and influencing factors of decision-making in the complex task environments, and emphasizes the guiding role of Gestalt rules of interface layout. Secondly, the design elements that affect layout are analyzed more deeply, and the shortcomings of current complex system digital interface layout are concluded. According to the functional properties, the design elements are divided into the navigation and content. Two methods of layout design are put forward. The first strategy is matching navigation of layout on the base of navigation classification. The second strategy is establishing clear visual process, visual hierarchy, keeping unified vision, and paying attention to keeping white etc.Thirdly, experimental study on Oddball form of interface layout started. P300 and N200 component are obvious and extracted. The paper analyzes brain response to good layout and bad layout mainly from the two characteristic parameters-amplitude and latency. This research opened up a new direction for the study of the interface layout.
