With the development of technology, more and more big screen appearance in people’s work and life. The big-screen TV which is the most closely and one of the best known for everyone, is also undergoing tremendous changes. Rising TV software and hardware performance, allowing the product to load very rich and complex functions, such development must be a huge challenge on human-computer interaction. How to adapt to the new interactive platform to enhance the user experience, it takes us very long time to study the subject. This paper takes the case of big-screen TV, and describes the many design problems on the big screen.This paper, which takes the cognitive psychology as a starting point, gradually focuses on the big-screen smart TV interface. Study characteristics on the big screen interface from many angles, such as interface classifications, characteristics of television and so on. After analyzing the "small screen" interface design principles contrasting with big screen in the past, combine with the related theory of cognitive psychology research, and use the experimental psychology research methods to study the reasonable layout mode in view of two types of interface. A combination and deduction of the experimental results and the theoretical study of the pre-rational interpretation, eventually forms six big-screen interface design principles. They are complementary and mutually complementary. The author hopes when the designers in big screen interface design, they can get practical help and guidance by these principles, whether using them during design as reference or after design as test. I hope this study would contribute to promote the development of industry of big screen. In this paper, there are six big-screen interface design principles based on cognitive, namely:①the blocks of visual structure;②navigate to the content, keep parallel arrangement;③The same level of elements, easier to use the cross arrangement;④alert vision burden;⑤visual hierarchy need sophisticated;⑥dynamic and static combination. Principles cover the basic layout methods, extending the visual part of the layout, and the dynamic interaction reflected in the layout and interface. And in actual product design, make the use and verification.
