Power line carrier communication refers to the technology that use power line as communication channel. Power line is reliable and extensive. Because of its unique advantage it can be used as a communication line. But the power line designed to transport electric-power, it has a complex and harsh channel characteristics. We need further improvement on communication technology. As the "strong smart grid" promoted during the "twelfth five-year" plan, more and more real-time business demands began to appear, so the power line communication need to be more reliable and real-time. Therefore it’s valuable to optimize the task scheduling strategy for more real-time communication.This paper analyzes all tasks that concentrator frequently executed in AMI system. The main tasks can be summarized in two types: single node communication task and the whole network data collection task. Usually, we use the specified relay path or routing algorithm to complete the single node communication task, and there are many research related to routing algorithm. But we also use single node collection algorithm to complete the whole network data collection task. This is a simple single node polling mechanism, but it ignored the relationship between child nodes and takes a long time to complete. Also, the larger network scale the more time it needs. The Real-time of the PLC system is greatly reduced.This paper start from the routing algorithm of single node communication task, realized the Best Location Forward Routing(BLFR) between DM and child node on the basis of physical clustering topology. Then proposed single branch collection(SBC) algorithm and single cluster collection(SCC) algorithm based on BLFR. Then proposed single branch collection scheduling strategy used for whole network data collection task, also use single cluster and single point collection scheduling strategies as a supplement. Compare the Matlab simulation results, the number of packets sent is reduced,the new scheduling strategy improve the system performance. In addition, using high-speed carrier chip set up power line carrier communication environment, designed the communication protocol and realized the optimized scheduling strategy, further verify the performance of optimized scheduling strategy in actual power line carrier communication environment.
