Low-voltage power line carrier communication technology is one of the easiestmeans of communication, it has caused widespread concern in various industrialareas. However, the unreliability problem of communication has greatly limited thedevelopment and application of power line carrier communication technology. Thelow-voltage power line carrier communication network routing model and relatedalgorithm has become a hot topic, which is quite important for power linecommunication products.Based on the power line carrier communication routing algorithm which hasbeen studied, combined with the characteristics of spiderweb topology, ahierarchical hybrid spiderweb routing model for power line communication has beenproposed in this paper.Firstly, the characteristics of the spiderweb and its evolution were analyzed.The round spiderweb which was regarded as the representative of all spiderwebtopologies has been studied carefully. As a result, a universal definition of artificialspiderweb strcture has been proposed in this paper. The reliability of artificialspiderweb topology has been analyzed through a Markov Model.Secondly, the routing protocol and the data frame format of hierarchical hybridspiderweb were designed in this paper. The network building and routing strategieshave been discussed in details.Then, a clustering based network model and a hierarchical hybrid spiderwebbased network model have been set up in MATLAB. Similarities and differences ofthe two networks were studied. The routing communication capability of these twotopologies were compared in OPNET. The simulation results showed that: therouting model of hierarchical hybrid spiderweb has a stronger communicationreliability.Finally, a power line carrier communication experiment platform wasestablished. Using a limited number of carrier experiment module, the traditionalclustering routing algorithm and the new hierarchical hybrid spiderweb routingalgorithm have been tested. The experimental results confirmed the effectivenessand feasibility of the hierarchical hybrid spiderweb routing model.
