As a communication media technology, low-voltage power line has been widely studied and applied to automatic meter reading system. The aim of low-voltage distribution network is used to transfer electrical energy, so electrical node turning on-off can affect the network noise, impedance and signal attenuation. The radical change of power line channel makes network of electrical nodes become very unreliable, this has been a problem of power line carrier communication in engineering applications. So, the study of automatic routing becomes hot and critical spot in Low narrow-band carrier communication technology.Before proposing a new power line carrier route, the paper studies physical characteristics of low-voltage carrier communication, which includes:power line impedance characteristics, attenuation characteristics and network noise characteristics, then analyses routing algorithm and its limitations in power line carrier communication.Basis on this, the thesis begins with logical structure and characteristics of power line carrier communication. The paper first concludes Specific requirements of routing algorithm for the power line carrier network. On the basis of analysis of clustering routing and tree-backbone routing, the paper brings up dynamic routing algorithm of cluster-tree combining the both. The algorithm uses tree-backbone as the skeleton of power line carrier communication network, the way to find topology of tree is simple, algorithm is easy to implement. Tree-backbone can avoid global updating of prior routing and network delay of reactive routing. The algorithm uses clustering based on node relevance to auto networking among local node. According to the intension of signal, the probability of communication and connectivity of node, the clustering selects cluster head and the members based on node relevance. The algorithm adopts mechanism of probabilistic flooding to rebuild network, which can meet the needs of burst communications when the network interrupted.Finally, through the performance analysis and simulation test, it proves that dynamic routing of tree cluster is suitable communication conditions in narrowband power line carrier, also can meet the needs of engineering.
