The satellite borne laser range finder has the characteristics of good color, good coherence, and good collimation, which can accurately measure the distance between the range finder and the measured object. In recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology, laser range finder has made great progress in ranging and precision. Around the ranging accuracy and range of the laser range finder, in the production process of laser range finder, a quick, convenient, effective and adequate test of the laser range finder is carried out by the ground test method.The research of this subject is based on the working characteristics and technical requirements of the laser range finder which used to explore the moon, combining with the existing technical means, determine the reasonable technical way, a high precision laser dynamic testing system based on the photoelectric time delay method is proposed.In this paper, around the working principle of the pulsed laser range finder, Comprehensive analysis the system structure and key technology index of pulse laser range finder, and ground testing method for pulsed laser range finder at present. On this basis, the photoelectric signal receiving and amplifying technology, constant ratio timing identification technology, high precision time delay technology and laser power dynamic regulation technology are studied in this paper. Finally, the laser dynamic testing system which include laser transmitting unit, time delay unit, laser transmitting unit, energy regulating unit, control unit is designed. Meanwhile the causes of system error and random error are analyzed, and puts forward the solution.In the course of the experiment, the key elements of the system, the system delay coefficient and the system accuracy are tested in detail, and the experiment with the laser range finder is carried out. Experimental results show that, the laser dynamic testing system meets the technical requirement of the test accuracy less than 0.15 m and the minimum test distance is less than 15 m. Be able to meet the current needs of the vast majority of laser range finder on the ground testThe research results of this paper can be applied to the laser range finder used in Chang’e. Can also be extended to other satellite borne pulse laser range finder system in our country. The method has important reference value for the realization of the convenient, high efficiency and full ground detection method of the satellite pulse laser range finder.
