With the transformation of China’s economic construction and the rapid development of Industrial Park, the petrochemical industry in the national economy have occupied unshakable status, which in the process of storage and transportation usually involves a large number of chemicals. Widely used for various types of chemicals, although in a way to improve people’s life, but its unstable properties which making it into a threat to social stability. Chemicals especially toxic gas, it is easy to spread,not only pollutes the environment, but also leads poisoning incidents.Studing gas diffusion and simulation can project accident scope reasonably and formulate corresponding emergency measures timely. Therefore, scholars from all over the world pay more and more attention to study gas diffusion simulation.Based on comprehensive analysis of fluid motion and gas diffuse simulation, the paper studies the theory of gas diffusion model and builds heavy gas model and non-heavy gas model, then designs and implements the gas diffusion simulation system. The main contents are described as follows:(1) The factors of atmospheric environmental and topographic and gas molecular weight affect the rate of diffusion of the gas.Atmospheric environmental factors include atmospheric stability,temperature and wind speed,etc.Topographic factors include roughness and different obstacles and so on.By analysising comprehensively the above facters,the paper designs corresponding experimental data and then,constructs the heavy gas diffusion model based on box model.The paper also considers the effect of effective source height and ground reflection factor, improves Gaussian plume diffusion model, so as to increase the precision of non-heavy gas diffusion’s simulation.(2) In order to reduce the demand on the hardware configuration of the system,taking into account the limitations of the current simulation system,the paper proposes a method which to use two two-dimensional concentration diagrams, namely regional concentration distribution graph and vertical concentration distribution graph,to reflect the diffusion effect in height and breadth of the three-dimensional space.The gas diffusion simulation system in this paper distributely computes the data and gas diffusion rendering process, and calculates the concentration of part of the points and draws concentration contour using graphic gridding,so as to ensure simulationaccuracy and reduce the response time at once.(3) The paper implements the gas diffusion simulation system which combines with the idea of object oriented, microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and C + + programme language.The system is composed of fluid physics module,gas diffusion module and simulation shows module and so on.By contrasting the results of experiment confirms the validity of the system.
