With the development of modern industrial industries,a variety of gases are widely used in industrial and agricultural production,transportation and daily life.Therefore,the leaking probability of these gases during the procession of transportation and usage is gradually increasing.In order to avoid the endanger on the personal safety and property safety caused by the toxic and flammable gas leakage,this paper designs a gas source positioning and monitoring system.For the requirements of the gas source positioning and monitoring system,the works of the system mainly have three parts: the study of gas source positioning algorithm,the analysis of gas diffusion model and the design of hazardous gas monitoring system.This paper analyzes and simulates the characteristics of two commonly used static diffusion models which are the Gaussian plume model and the gas turbulence model.Based on the characteristics of the experimental environment,the gas turbulence diffusion model is selected as the basis for the positioning algorithm design.According to the gas turbulent diffusion model and the unknown characteristics of the release rate of gas leaking during the actual gas leaking.This paper mainly chooses the weighted centroid algorithm and DE search algorithm to study.The traditional weighted centroid algorithm is only suitable for the gas diffusion environment without wind.This paper adds the influence of the wind speed on the gas diffusion to the weighting factor,so that the improved weighted centroid algorithm is suitable for both windless and windy environments.At the same time,this paper improves another global optimization algorithm called the DE algorithm.This algorithm combines gas diffusion model and judges the next search direction according to the difference between the concentration of nodes collected and the concentration of the nodes obtained when the hypothetical search point is as the leakage source,which make the improved algorithm converge faster.In order to be able to perceive the situation of hazardous gas leakage in time,based on ZigBee this paper designs a number of monitoring nodes deployed in areas where gas leakage is likely to occur.These monitoring nodes can collect the gas concentration,ambient wind direction and temperature data at the node position in real time,and they transmit the data to the monitoring center for gas concentration cloud mapping and gas source positioning analysis.Finally,the main functions of sensor data acquisition,transmission,processing,presentation,analysis and positioning for the system are experimentally verified.
