With the rapid development of economy, the increasing role of international status and the growing international influence, China has already become the focus of attention in the global society. There is a general trend that more and more foreign media have entered in China and established correspondent offices or stations in China. China has occupied an significant position in the international news report of foreign media. As one of the major political and social events annually held in China, the National Two Sessions has turned into the important approach to China for the foreign media. With an proactive attitude and frequent coverage on the issue of China’s Two Sessions, foregn media transmit to their target andience both the latest information and progress about China in terms of economy, politics, culture and society and the understanding and osbervation on China’s future and policy development.As the biggest news agency in the Spanish world, the Agencia EFE owns a great influence in Spanish-speaking countries and areas all around the world. EFE has relative bigger representative reporter stations in China, which allows it to play a significant guiding role on China-related reports in the Spanish world. This study focuses on the EFE’s coverage on the China’s National Two Sessions between 2013 and 2015, based on an integrated methodology of content analysis and discourse analysis for a deep study and analysis, for purpose of summarizing the regular pattern, characteristics and change tendency of EFE’s coverage on the mentioned events in three years during the study time range.According to the study, the attitude of EFE towards China tends to be more objective and neutral in macro aspect. However, through the observation on news discourse in microscopic aspect, EFE still sculptures a negative image of China by means of specific discourse techniques, which has resulted in some misunderstandings on national conditions with Chinese characteristics and China’s social phenomena. As the conclusion of this analysis, China should improve constantly the discourse power in the global community, which needs the active efforts in different sectors, including government, Chinese media and the whole society.
