With the development of modern coal mining technology, the requirement becomes more and more higher for the design of the scraper conveyor. Some experts and scholars using modern design method and combining the design process of the scraper conveyor develop some system, such as structure design system, knowledge management system. But this system function is relatively single, this system can’t cover most of the process of the scraper conveyor design and can’t satisfy the requirements of collaborative design. To solve the problem, the task using computer technology, software engineering technology, network technology and secondary development technology, knowledge engineering, and many other areas of knowledge and develop the scraper conveyor digital design system based on LAN. The main research content is as follows:(1) Through the integration of existing resources and scraper conveyor design process and the enterprise demand, the overall design scheme of system is determined. Using interface technology, computer technology, database technology, the scraper conveyor digital design system based on B/S model is developed. System has realized seamless integration of three main function modules including concept design, parameterized modeling, CAE analysis.(2) Selection design of scraper conveyor is developed by using ASP technology, database technology, JavaScript scripting language. Through selection of parameters after internal system algorithm is compared with existing parameters in the database, it provides scraper conveyor selection service for users.(3) Using powerful secondary development function of ADAMS and CMD language and user subroutine develop dynamics analysis subsystem of the scraper conveyor based on ADAMS. Though making the processing of virtual prototype system with an inner algorithm implementation program, it completes the simulation by input simulation parameters and improves the simulation efficiency and reduces the designers working strength.(4) Through organizing literature and using ASP technology and database technology, the modules of discipline standard, practical technology, academic papers, training, technology and general support are developed. User can search and browse and manage knowledge resources through the human-computer interaction interface.The system solves the problem of interface between different function subsystems, to realize the seamless integration of many function modules and ensure the whole design process is completed within a system and improve the efficiency of the design of the product. The system provides the knowledge resource service to expand user knowledge. System applied to the enterprise can not only improve enterprise design ability and improve market competitiveness, but also promote the application and development of CAD/CAE in actual design production.
