With the rapid development of big data, cloud computing, cloud storage and other internet technologies, it is easier to collect geographic data and release GIS web service, and gradually form the current massive internet data. Because of different standards used by GIS service providers to storage and process GIS data, it is more difficult to share source data and interoperate services lacking of necessary correlation between different services. As for the conventional web services, the problem of discovering and selecting the most suitable web service represents a challenge for semantic web services to be widely used.In this thesis, OWS services are semantic annotated in the metadata layer to support semantic reasoning, by using the technologies of OGC semantic annotation, domain ontology and XML parsing. The semantic reasoning cannot only match the keywords, but also can expand the query in the semantic level. The main achievement and innovation are described as follows:(1) By collecting OGC web services on the Internet, analyzing the domain ontology construction methods and the characteristics of geospatial information, the geographic experimental domain ontology is built based the international classification standards of mineral.(2) The OCF2 OPF mapping model is put forward before analyzing the similar features of OGC capability description file and OWL-S profile file.(3) The proposed algorithm is implemented and its components are validated using some test collections and real examples based on a prototype system. Experimental results show that, semantic reasoning using the domain ontology building method and the mapping model mentioned in this thesis, can in both improve recall ratio and precision ratio compared to the conventional web service discovery.
