Domain Ontology-based Text Information Semantic Retrieval Research

As the rapid development of Internet, Web has become the information source of theworld, how to retrieve the information we need efficiently from the massive informationsource is the key problem of information retrieval research. The existed search engines arefounded based on key word match or top taxonomy, which will always return muchirrelevant information and can not meet users' demand of recall and precision.When the concept of Ontology being proposed latterly, a lot of research has been doneon ontology. As the capability of representing meaning of information by a concepthierarchical structure of ontology and supporting reasoning, it can provide knowledgefoundation for semantic retrieval and concept retrieval, so ontology based informationretrieval has become an important research topicThis thesis summarizes the domestic and international theory on research of ontologybased information retrieval. Based on the preliminary research results-construction ofmilitary aircraft Domain Ontology OntoAvion, attempts the research of domain ontologybased semantic text information retrieval, Focus on the method of ontology-based textinformation annotation, proposes the thinking of extraction of knowledge fragment basedon text information annotation; discusses the method of semantic expansion of user queryitems; finally, On the basis of theory analysis, design and developed an experimentalSemantic Retrieval System OIRS.
