In recent years, wireless sensor network has developed rapidly, widely used in environmental monitoring, medical, military, industry and other fields. At the same time, many researchers’ concern focuses on this field.WSN coverage problem is the necessary part of the beginning period of building the network and the application process. The reasonable control of the covering methods can highly improve WSN coverage ratio of target area, node connectivity as well as the life of the network. In this way, the network obtains higher coverage quality. This paper studies the deployment issues of the mobile sensor nodes in the hybrid wireless sensor network. Firstly, we analyze the background and significance of wireless sensor networks, illustrate the theoretical basis of coverage control and introduce several typical coverage control algorithms.A coverage optimization algorithm based on particle swarm optimization for hybrid wireless sensor networks is proposed. In this algorithm, coverage problem in hybrid wireless sensor networks is transformed into function optimization problem and this algorithm set the coverage rate of wireless sensor networks as an optimization goal to establish the mathematical model. Then particle swarm algorithm is applied to obtain the optimal solution of the function, thereby gaining the final destination of moving sensors. Experiments show that the particle swarm algorithm is able to improve network coverage rate and reduce the average moving distance is also adapted to the area with obstacles.A coverage optimization algorithm based on a honeycomb structure of hybrid wireless sensor networks is raised. There is no need to search most area blindly to find the coverage holes. This algorithm directly uses the geometric regularity of the honeycomb structure, obtain the nearest coverage hole location by way of iterative calculation. The process of calculation is fast and the results are accurate. The deployment of mobile sensor node in this algorithm is a seamless coverage style which can reduce to a great extent.
