The Research And Design On Fault Alarm System Based On GIS Communication Base Station

With the development of society, the mobile communication technology has been playing a more and more essential role in people’s living and production. Nowadays, the 3rd generation mobile communication technology(3G) has been booming in the world, and the 4th generation mobile communication technology(4G) is emerging, so the mobile communication network is becoming more complicated and much bigger. In order to deal with such a complex and large-scale network, we need to develop a set of visual network management system, which can help network manager monitor multi-dimensional information of the network, such as the alarm, performance, and configuration, etc.The thesis carefully studies the related papers of the geographic information system(GIS, Geographic Information System). Firstly, the basic knowledge of GIS, database model, data structure and web-services platform are introduced and basic knowledge of network alarm and its related problems are described. Secondly, on the basic of the study on the mobile communication alarm system, the thesis makes the requirement analysis from the system’s functional requirement, data requirement, design requirement and other aspects, which are us ed to design the overall system. According to the functional localization, the system is divided into GIS subsystem module, network data management module, base station alarm information management module and user management module. All modules are carefully designed. Thirdly, overall design is done for the system’s database and then detailed design is made for concept introduction, data classification and logic structure of the system’s database. Finally, the overall and each function of the system have been realized with excellent system operation, up to design requirements.GIS-based mobile base station failure alarm system can comprehensively present alarm, performance, configuration and other information of mobile communication network. The system not only improves the efficiency of the monitoring work, but also increases the satisfaction of customers. Therefore, the system can provide great technical support for mobile communication network operation and maintenance managers.
