Research On The Topic Planning Of Local Metropolis Daily’s Depth Reports

In recent years, depth reports have been favored by the local metropolis. However, the conventional depth reports topic researches are standing in the tradition and macroscopic angle, regarding the national newspapers and the local newspapers as the same, and do not take local metropolis into account in the actual operation. Local media due to financial and material resources, as well as its own position of influence, among other factors, in fact, not directly involve major national topics.So how to make depth reports be real depth and hardness in a limited range of attention is a worthy considering issue.The focus of this paper is local metropolis. Content analysis, in-depth interviews and observation are the main research methods. With the help of framing theory, I pick two Yunnan Province local metropolises daily---Spring City Evening News and City Times, trying to find the selection of topics of local metropolis in depth reports. Reasons for choosing these topics and putting forward the corresponding strategy are the key point in this paper.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part mainly explains the significance of the study, the relevant theoretical support and research methods used in this paper. The second part analyzes and compares the two depth reports of Spring City Evening News and City Times from four dimensions:the types of topics, regional distribution of topics, values of topics and perspective of topics. It is concluded that the two newspapers have three identical topic framings and two different topic framings. The third part is from the external factor level, organizational level and individual/group level to explore the influence of the topic in depth reports. The fourth part is on the front of the factors to discuss the corresponding strategies, and provide three suggestions to make good topics of local metropolis by searching associations between domestic popular topics and local news, mining the clues from daily news and presenting different views, paying attention to the plan topics...
