Mirror of the laser system is an essential optical elements, its ability of anti laser damage seriously affects the service life of the laser system, which restricts the laser to the high-energy, high-power direction.In order to enable the laser system to achieve a stable high energy output,Its damage mechanism of laser of high reflection film must be in-depth research, clear the laser damage mechanism, Design and fabrication of high performance anti strong laser and high reflection film.The research object is based on the high reflectivity of metal medium, It has the advantages of simple structure, wide reflection area, high reflectivity, stable mechanical properties and easy preparation.Based on the thin film of laser damage theory, design and the metal silver (Ag) and Al (Al) films were deposited on K9 glass substrates by thermal evaporation method, and the protective film is added on the metal film.by changing the substrate temperature during the deposition process, deposition temperature of sample optical properties and laser damage performance.1-on-1 damage test method, the scattering intensity and image method based on damage criteria, using pulse wide of 10ns 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG pulse laser and on the metal dielectric film damage threshold and damage morphology were tested and for the subsequent laser treatment to improve high reflection film damage threshold value laid the foundation.The experimental results show that the laser damage resistance of the metal silver dielectric film is better than that of the metal aluminum dielectric film.9 layers of dielectric protective film deposited on the metal silver surface prepared under the optimal process parameters, The peak reflectivity at 1064 nm is 99.57%, the laser damage threshold was 6.91J/cm2.The laser damage threshold is improved by 56% compared with that of the metal medium, the anti laser damage ability of the thin film was obviously improved..Research results show that the laser high reflection film is based on thin film laser damage theory to design, choose excellent anti laser damage of thin film materials under appropriate deposition temperature, prepared by laser metal-dielectric high reflective film and the anti laser damage properties have obvious improvement, of laser high reflection film for laser pretreatment can greatly improve the laser damage threshold of film.
