Reality show, as a major part of the entertainment TV programs, not only satisfies the increasing need of the audience, but also affects their tendency of value. Under the circumstance of excessive entertainment, reality shows has been given great importance by many TV show creators because of its high entertainment and broad participation. As a result, in order to acquire attentions, TV shows always demonstrate excessive entertainment.However, those pan-entertaining programs cannot lead the social culture into a good direction. According to this situation, the regulatory authorities have promulgated a series of policies to promote the healthy development of reality shows. Thus, how to control the degree of entertainment and enhancing self-innovative ability have become the primary problems to be solved. Consequently, in order to make reality show an excellent platform of art that is both entertaining and ideological, the creators of shows must insist on the right direction. Moreover, the government and other authorities have to take effective and reasonable methods to supervise the cultural market. This article is based on the specific policies and documents induced by the government that regulating the reality shows (under the background of the booming development of them), aiming to analyze and discuss the administrative situation of TV shows by the authorities.This essay consists of five Chapters, as will be showed below:First chapter is introduction. It shows the significance and motivation of the research. In the other hand, the author lists the research history and results of governmental administration on the reality shows. Chapter two gives the definition of entertainment and the entertaining age. What’s more, it discusses the reasons and consequence of pan-entertainment phenomena under the age of entertaining. The author gives the basic introduction of reality shows, and further reveals the features of pan-entertainment of them. Moreover, it demonstrates the necessity of governmental administration to regulate those shows. It analyzes the development status of reality shows and the classification of them. Chapter three conducts the analysis of the reality shows in China from the creators’view. It indicates the development history and the present situation of reality shows from such aspects, like the introduction of copyrights, localized innovation, post-production and marketing & communications. Besides, it discusses the obstacles faced by the reality show creators. Chapter four concludes the measures made by governmental authorities upon reality shows from the perspective of regulators, and indicates the major points of controlling those shows by the government. Chapter five, which is the last chapter, raises reasonable observations and suggestions for the roles that played by both producers and regulators in the creation of reality shows conclusively, basing on the contents of previous passage.
