Research On Urban Public Communication Access Network Based On GPON Technology

Along with the continuous growth of wideband networks demands, wideband network access has become one of the dispensable public facilities as water, electricity and gasoline. The birth of "KuanDaiZhongGuo" strategy remarks that the development of wideband networks has been included into national overall strategy, which brings serious challenges to the urban public access network system.GPON technology is featured inrange distance, high efficiency, high bandwidth rate, interface type, business support rich and save fiber resources.It can be smoothly upgraded to 10G GPON, which excellently supports the existing and future urban public access network’s business, and has become the leading technology for the urban public communication access network.The major work in this paper is based on China mobile Beijing company’s current status, and provides proposals and design ideas to the urban public communication access network based on GPON technology, together with detailed introduction to variousdesign case of different scenarios in detail.In this paper, several common characteristics of access network technology are briefly analyzed. The characteristics and networking structure of the GPON technology are analyzed as well. Then, from the key elements of GPON network, a systematic analysis is provided to the design rules of the ODN system, OLT and uplink system, bearing business, configuration parameters on design requirements are clearly defined. Lastly, aiming to the target objects that encountered in China Mobile Beijing companypractical work, the design ideas and proposals for various scenarios are demonstrated, which provides valuable reference to the access network proposal based on GPON technology.
