With the popularity of the rapid development of the media and the media continue to improve,media communication in rural ethnic minority community is playing an increasingly significant role in the provision of information and entertainment, but also are imperceptibly changing people’s traditional lifestyle.In this paper, our ethnic groups with rare population of Jing for the survey, Jing people to head for the islands, one of the Wutou village for the sample field research. Using home interviews, participant observation and questionnaires to collect local newspapers, radio, movies, TV, phone, Internet and other media-related data and information on the history and current status of the development of media were discussed in detail. On this basis, by comparing with the traditional lifestyle of Jing nationality and analysis of the fieldwork to collect first-hand information found on the media communication has had a profound impact on of Jing ethnic minority inhabited village of traditional livelihoods, food and clothing, marriage and family life, leisure lifestyles and lifestyle festival in these five areas. One the one hand media communication promotes modern family lifestyle of Jing ethnic group, on the other hand it leads to a drain of the disintegration of the traditional concept of consumption, closed leisure living space and loss of the national traditional culture. For these problems, at the end of article gives the corresponding recommendations. It has theoretical and practical significance to discuss minority media and lifestyle transition for a deeper understanding the relations of media communication and rural social transformation.
