In the Internet age, the application of social media becomes an indispensable part of people’s daily life. By the way of interactive, subscription and forwarding, "fans" are increasingly involved in the activities related to the stars and idols through social media whose contribution to the entertainment industry such as music, video and games is more and more obvious, the "fans economic" scale expands rapidly. Through combing the concepts "fans" and "fans economic" related, this paper takes a deep insight into the consumption behavior and consumption habits of "fans" in social media age, the main marketing mode, which aims to promote the development of "fans economy". This paper is divided into five parts altogether, the first part is the introduction, through the analysis of the related literature review about research status "fans economy" home and abroad, narrates the research background and significance of the article; The second part is origin concept of "fans" and "fans economy", combing the two key concepts and their features; The third part is new features of "fans" and " fans economy " in the age of the social media, summed up the marketing strategy characteristics of "fans economy" different from before; The fourth part is the marketing mode commonly used and means of "fans economy" in age of social media through case analysis; The fifth part is summary.
